Could we expect something like this?
Wow, it has seemed like years [but only a couple
months] have gone by since we posted the scoop
that Ryan Reynolds [Van Wilder, top 5 funny man in show business]
may be game for playing the role of The Flash. Time for an update.
Reynolds Agrees to Flash
According to FilmRoach, Ryan Reynolds has officially
agreed to play the role of the Flash when it comes available. While this
is all good and well, The Flash movie may never become available
as it would require both Warner Bros and David Goyer's [Blade Trinity]
thumbs up to begin production. But have no fear, at least we have a great
lead character for the film that isn't ready to go yet.
According to Reynolds, the audiences should already assume and rest assured
that he will be The Flash. The second the film gets a greenlight from Warner
Bros Reynolds expects to be on set.
On further news, David Goyer is signed on to write
the screenplay for the DC comic adaptation. Actually, Goyer will play the
same role as he did in Blade Trinity, as he will write, direct, and produce
The Flash. If you are/were a fan of the Blade films, you probably know that
it has been suspected the Blade: Trinity took a dive as David Goyer tried
to direct that piece.
Dont' get me wrong, David Goyer is wonderful at creating comic book films...
he has just not proven himself as a director yet. Will The Flash
be his second chance for success as a director, or a confirmation of what
some already fear?
