Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds
Got a nice new set of War
of the Worlds media for you. How about a high quality
version of the Japanese War of the Worlds teaser trailer instead
of the asx we posted a while back, and the sixth part in a series of segments
that allow Q&A with Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg about War of
the Worlds.
War of the Worlds Teaser...
in Japan
As I have mentioned on many previous occasions--
international trailers always seem to be so much better than movie trailers
for the US. The international versions are usually a bit longer, and show
more footage that is of interest to the audiences... or at least to me.
On that note, we posted a higher quality Japanese teaser trailer for War
of the Worlds. The teaser trailer shows a couple extra segments more
than the 1st teaser trailer released in the US. To check out the trailer,

For the latest segment in the series of clips
that feature Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg answering questions, they
are presented a question that deals more with the relation between the
premise of War of the Worlds and the world as it is today. The question
goes as follows:
Is there a paradox with our wars
and human intolerance that led you to this project?
Tom starts off with an answer to this question
and says that there is definitely a paradox. However, Spielberg shifts
the answer completely by stating that the film is more of a tale about
being a refugee of a country under attack. I loved this segment as Tom
sits and looks at the camera like this is the first time he has ever
heard the words stated by Spielberg [maybe he has].
