Could see more or less, or even a better version, of Sidious in Revenge
of the Sith
According to TheForce.Net,
Empire Magazine has a quote from Rick McCallum about the differences between
the digital and film versions of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
I guess the biggest shocker is the word 'differences'...
ROTS Digital & Film Differences
One of the great advantages of the digital media
is that it is easier to 'can' a film and get it distributed much more efficiently.
Because of this, it allows film makers to even take more time on digital
movies that share the same release date as a movie on film.
With this fact in mind, Rick McCallum had this to announce about Revenge
of the Sith in digital:
The digital version of the movie will be different from the version that goes out on film. That has to be locked down so much earlier, whereas the digital can go right up to a week-and-a-half before the film comes out...
While it always sounds like good news when a film
maker is allowed more time to work on his/her film, but Lucas has not always
made the best choices when given more time. Which did you like better, Special
Edition or the Original Star Wars? What trilogy? The one where
Lucas felt rushed, or the latest trilogy where he was allowed to spend a
lot of time on?
