After finishing up promoting his new film
Sin City, it seems that Rodriguez has a lot of catch-up
work to do for his other upcoming film The Adventures Of Shark Boy and
Lava Girl In 3-D. What can we say, no matter the film that Robert Rodriguez
makes, he still loves going back to the kids [in the best possible sense].
Shark Boy and Lave Girl Still
The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl
takes the same approach to film as did Spy Kids 3D [also directed
by Rodriguez]. However, due to a lack of any type of marketing from Rodriguez,
I cannot say much more on the film. A film that is due out in almost exactly
two months [June 10].
Actually, so little is known about the film that Yahoo! Movies barely has
a premise that reads:
A 10-year-old outcast is shunned by classmates and forced to spend summer vacation alone. With his two imaginary friends (Shark Boy and Lava Girl) he goes on a mission to prove dreams can become reality.
So what the heck is going on? Is this film crap
and Rodriguez knows it? Well, luckily enough that BlackFilm
was able to get their hands on the first movie still from The Adventures
of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D [Dimension may drop the 'in 3D' part].
Does the film look good? Hard to tell from one movie still.
