The Brothers Grimm has had an interesting
start. For a movie that would automatically receive tons of hype, it has
had a very unsuccessful start. It originally had a release date sometime
at the end of 2004, but it was pushed back to an unknown date. Then, it
was confirmed that it had been pushed back to Thanksgiving of this year
[2005], an entire year later than planned. And, just to keep us on our toes,
it was pushed forward to a summer release on July 29th of this year.
With this date, the countdown has begun for The Brothers Grimm.
Will the film have to be pushed back again? Especially considering that
we have yet to see any type of promotion for Brothers Grimm. The
only thing we got are some set pics that look like they were taken by a
spy... or should we say stagehand.
Brothers Grimm Pics
AintitCool
got their hands on some set pics from The Brothers Grimm that were
sent to them from a stagehand. The pics actually look pretty cool, showing
that some type of work is going into the film and it could still have production
value [always have my doubts with so many delays]. But check out the pics
and cross your fingers.
This film is *very* loosely based upon the real lives of Jacob Ludwig Carl
Grimm (1785-1863) and Wilhelm Carl Grimm (1786-1859), who became famous
for the fairy tales they committed to paper [Yahoo].
