Paramount Pictures is so hot right now. For the
year of 2005, them and 20th Century Fox are the two big dogs for the blockbuster
films. Paramount, wanting to keep momentum going, has decided to pick up
another sci-fi remake-- When Worlds Collide.
Sommers on When Worlds Collide
Paramount, and their love for blockbuster movies,
has also found their man to take the helm of When Worlds Collide. None other
than Stephen Sommers, the man behind blockbuster films like The Mummy,
The Mummy Returns, and Van Helsing. In the original movie,
a dying star hurls through space on a collision course with Earth, with
no means to stop it. Earth's only hope lies in the hands of pilot Dave Randall
and astronomer Doc Hendron , who will must create and fly an interplanetary
craft to stop the out of control star.
