Donald Faison
Donald Faison, the drummer from Can't Hardly
Wait, the humorous football player from Remember the Titans,
and the young doc from the television series Scrubs, has expressed
heightened interest in the upcoming Star Wars television series.
In general, Faison has been dying to enter the Star Wars universe.
Faison Talks Star Wars Television
After pointing out the fact that he missed his
chance for Revenge of the
Sith, Faison speaks his interest in the Star Wars
television series. Faison does not exactly say what type of role he thought
he could get for the television series, but just seems to want to play anybody
on the show. Don't be surprised if you see him as an extra mopping the floor
of a star destroyer. But really, here is a little bit of the conversation
had with Donald Faison thanks to MovieHole:
"Darth Vader. That's the best villain in the history of villains...nobody could destroy him not even Superman", Faison jokes. "I wanted to be in the Star Wars movie, but it's too late for that".
Reminded about the "Star Wars" TV series that George Lucas is apparently trying to get off the ground, Faison responds "There it is - that's the role I want to play".
Would he be interested in playing the role of a young Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams in the original films?
"Then I've got to put on a wig", he says, without saying what role he would like to play instead.
So did the actor go to the toy store and stock up on the new "Revenge of the Sith" action figures? "No Man, I don't buy action figures - I got dolls baby, I got dolls", he jokes. "Twelve inch dolls. Princess Leia, Queen Amidala - they look great when you take the clothes off. All my fantasies come true in a galaxy far, far away - and in my bathroom".
Even though we have been repeatedly told that Lucas does not plan to go
into any details about the Star Wars television series till a little after
the Star Wars Revenge of the Sith release, it would still be appreciated
if he could tell us something. He hasn't even mentioned, but it is assumed,
if the series is going to be 'real' or animated [like Clone Wars].
And, considering that Clone Wars is a great show, I will take it
either way.
