After always discussing how I thought Paramount
consisted of a bunch of marketing geniuses for using the internet as a powerful
tool for marketing their films, some body had to go even a step further.
But who is this somebody?
Well, Warner Bros decided to flex its marketing power and put a Batman
Begins ad in the most unlikely place. Can you guess where?
Come on... guess.
Batman Begins On Matrix Online
In a freakin multiplayer video game, that's where!
After first viewing the image posted by SHH,
I was giggling. But then it hit me! Will this type of marketing be the wave
of the future? With all the multiplayer communities forming across the internet,
it would be easy for all these and future multiplayer games to take advantage
of this marketing approach and host their own billboards, picture ads, and
whatever else they want to use to sell to movie companies looking to market
their product.
Imagine, you are playing a multiplayer game and come across a television
that is running a movie trailer. Do you stop and watch? This could be just
the beginning.

Somewhere else in the game there is a movie theatre with a line
forming for Star Wars Revenge of the Sith

Anyway, pretty humorous update and a very interesting way to market a film.
For the full size go to SHH.
For the movie trailers, movie clips, movie stills, and synopsis, go to the
