According to the band's website, The Strokes
have finished recording thirteen songs that will make up their third album.
However, it is not quite appropriate to assume that there will be thirteen
tracks on the album.
THe Strokes Album
Only after Andy Wallace finishes mastering (mixing/producing) all of the tracks will the band make the decision of which songs will make it on the album; a b-sides release could be expected if a couple of the recorded songs don't make it onto the album.
Because the band has just finished recording, an album title has not been confirmed, but we can expect a January 2006 release, and single sometime in the fall of this year.
Despite no official tour schedule yet, The Strokes are likely to
play a string of small club shows in Europe later this year. However it
isn't likely that they will perform in the U.S. until the album releases,
nevertheless we can expect a solid schedule of U.S. tour dates once the
album does hit store shelves.
