Our largest movie fan base here at CanMag.Com has
come from the fans of the Harry Potter books and films. Therefore, it comes
with good tidings to know that JK Rowling is allowing fans to offer her
one-on-one interviews about the upcoming film, Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and the upcoming book,
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Potter Fan(s) Meet Rowling
The British television network ITV1 has recently
setup a exclusive quiz show for those who believe themselves to be the biggest
Potter fans out there. The only problem is that you must be eight
to sixteen years of age to join, meaning that a large Potter fan base will
be left out of this one. However, if you are between the ages of eight and
fifteen, then you could be the next person to have a personal sit down with
JK Rowling.
For the quiz show, the selected fans will be asked questions all about the
Potter books including magical commands, plots, character analysis,
and then some. The fan to win the quiz show will be granted the reward of
meeting JK Rowling in her home town of Edinburgh, Scotland. During the trip,
the winner will be able to have a one-to-one with Rowling on anything about
the upcoming Potter film to the upcoming book, Harry Potter
and the Half-Blood Prince, due out July 16th. Personally, JK Rowling
ain't a bad looking girl, so if the winner was a guy, and closer to the
age of sixteen, might as well ask how her love life has been going as well.
For anybody who keeps tabs on the author of the Harry Potter series, to
be able to sit down with JK Rowling is a big event. Rowling, even though
the author of the best-selling books, works to stay out of the spotlight.
However, it is time to start promoting everything Potter considering the
fact that we have not one but two Potter events this year. I guess
this is why she is also offering the same type of interview to another lucky
fan as well.
While having one lucky fan go visit JK Rowling
is cool, having two is even better. Emerson Spartz, the creator of the Harry
Potter fansite MuggleNet,
supposedly received a direct phone call from JK Rowling, who immediately
offered an invitation to have him fly into Scotland a few days before the
release of Half-Blood Prince.
All I have to say is lucky guy, and why hasn't Rowling given me a ring;
or at least an email. Obviously, she has not read my comprehensive report
on novel and film differences for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
