One of the toughest things CanMag.Com has had to
adjust for is the Firefox browser. Through testing the site with the increasing
- in - popularity browser, we have discovered tons of issues, all of which
we are working to take care of. However, one of the most annoying issues
was the 'floating ad' bug that would occur when you try to 'hide' the center
ad by clicking the 'hide' link. The layer disappears but then leaves behind
the pesky ad. It pissed me off and I run the site!
No More Firefox Bug
If you use primarily Internet Explorer, then you
would have never encountered this problem. However, if you are fond of Firefox
and use it for all of your browsing purposes, I am sure that you have encountered
this issue on CanMag.Com. I have been working to resolve this issue over
the last couple of weeks and have finally come up with a solution.
I have applied new javascript to the bottom 'hide' link. Now notice that
the links either say 'hide- IE' or 'hide- Firefox.' If you have Firefox,
please click on 'hide-Firefox'. This completely solves the 'floating ad'
bug, which should hopefully make a more pleasurable surfing experience through
our site.
