Considering that most Potter fans are starting, in the middle of, or have finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince already, I figured this would be the final report of book reviews from various news reporting agencies. But don't be too upset, at least all of the reviews are positive.

Half-Blood Prince Reviews

I got 150 pages left to go in Order of the Phoenix and have just been given a copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince yesterday for my birthday [my b-day is July 17th]. Expecting that I should finish the book by this morning, I can finally begin reading the latest pages from the Potter story so I can soon begin to wait for what will seem like ages until the release of the seventh Harry Potter novel. I will hopefully take my time with Half-Blood Prince, even though I had read each of the earlier novels in a little under a week or two.

It also doesn't help that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been released to positive criticism such as these listed below [open in new window]:

TIME
For true believers, Half-Blood Prince will be pure pleasure. There's Quidditch, potion-class high jinks, apparition lessons, loads of snogging (Ron and Hermione are slowly sorting out their longtime mutual crush) and some lovely business with a golden potion called Felix Felicis that makes whoever imbibes it extra lucky. But this is the second-to-last book in the series, and for all the fun, the mood is darkening.

USA Today
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," the sixth of J.K. Rowling's phenomenal, record-breaking series, is also her darkest, most grown-up work — haunted by death, complicated by love and heartbreaking to critics. "Break out the tissues," warns Associated Press reviewer Deepti Hajela.

MSNBC
All ages, however, should be assured: Rowling’s latest has lost none of the charm, intelligence and hilarity that have catapulted her series into publishing history. But this book also has a poignancy, complexity and sadness we probably couldn’t have imagined when we started reading the first one. There’s an emotional punch you won’t believe.

Not a bad set of reviews for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Obviously, expect a review from yours truly once I finish the book. However, as I stated above, I am hoping to take Half-Blood Prince a little slower. So how does three weeks sound?

Thanks for the heads up from 'erin' with the reviews and the links.

For the movie, go to the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Movie Page.

Stay tuned for updates.
