Today Apple Inc. unveiled the next generation in mice. The Mighty Mouse exhibits Apples usual stylistic appearance with the head shell acting as the one and only main button, but this mouse is touch sensitive in all of the right places, making it a four button mouse in one.
Apples Mighty Mouse
New to the next generation of mice, is Apples 360-degree scroll ball located on top of the mouse (where scroll wheels are generally found). This scroll ball allows you to scroll anywhere, at any time and in any direction without lifting a finger. So now you can pan around all four corners of your pictures without even moving the mouse, and again without lifting a finger.
The mighty mouse's touch-sensitive technology allows you to use it as either a normal Apple one-button mouse, or a typical two-button mouse. The mouse can sense which side you are pressing on the seamless head shell and activates the corresponding command.
However Apple takes it one step further. They have added force-sensing buttons on either side of the mouse that are utilized by the thumb and finger. These force-sensing buttons can be programmed to activate Tiger OS X Dashboard Widgets, Expose, or a whole host of other, customizable features.
Now available, this Mighty Mouse can be purchased for only $49; a small price to pay for something so big.
