For all of those surf music fans out there it will
only be a little while longer until another great album is out. Sitting,
Waiting, Wishing is the title of Renaissance man, Jack Johnson's third
album, and speculation suggests that it will be released around the beginning
of spring 2005.
Jack Johnson's New Album
I first caught a wave of this news on the refreshing music program, Morning Becomes Eclectic on NPR's KCRW. The program is hosted by Nick Harcourt, and he has chosen to play the Title tune, "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" from Johnson's album.
The song is another Johnson hit. It encompasses that typical Johnson style, but also shows some maturity in it, which is great to see because it is almost exhausting to see artist just put out the same thing they did previously. Though a little difficult to judge objectively due to the fact that I have only heard one track, nonetheless it is one of the first anticipated albums of 2005, and I personally can't wait to hear more of it.
Anyone who wants to hear the title track can either tune in to Morning Becomes Eclectic from 9-noon on KCRW (89.9 in the greater L.A. area) or go to KCRW.com and listen live. You can also listen to archived programs, and can find the track there as well.
