The son of jazz musician Larry Coryell, the L.A.
based musician Julian Coryell has blown away the music scene with the release
of his most recent album Rock Star. Coryell has a confidant voice
that encompasses a sweet mixture the late Jeff Buckley and his own unique
personal tone.
Julian Coryell is a Rock Star
Forget his past, his future is unknown but his present work is an un-commercialized
source of music serenity that is one of the purest albums of 2004. The album
boasts the incredible efforts of a self-sufficient artist with pure music
in his bloods. Every song suggests that Julian Coryell has music intertwined
in his genetic structure and his language of choice is indeed music. Rock
Star is beautifully written album that speaks from a grown-ups mouth
and is layered with pop sounds of the present. Julian Coryell has filled
a void that has been lost in recent years - a pure, dynamic artist singing
pure, dynamic songs.
Are only hope is that Julian Coryell does not begin writing songs for other artists but focuses on his own sounds. As we appreciate the sounds of this album we are already eager for more music from this breathtaking artist. Julian Coryell is definitely a musical genius.
You can purchase the album Rock Star by Julian Coryell at almost
any online music retailer or traditional bricks-and-mortar establishment.
Saint's Final Words: An 'A' artist with an 'A' album. Support Coryell and buy it rather than bootlegging it. (Some artists deserve to be bootlegged but not this one.)
