First off, I do hope that Warner Bros can deliver a teaser poster for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix soon, as I am getting sick and tired of using the cover from the book. That being said, one of our Potter readers, 'PotterFan', has recently alerted us that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has shot from the 10th to 8th most anticipated film on the CanMag Top Ten.
Damn that's fast!
OotP Goes Up
When we created the movie page for OotP we predicted the film would appear on the Top Ten by October, maybe a little sooner. The film did appear on the Top Ten much a little earlier than predicted and has now scored itself the eighth position by leaping over both The Departed and Alpha Dog in the last week.
Here are some of the latest stats:
On September 25th, when Order of the Phoenix entered the Top Ten, the film's movie page had 17,091 views. Today, only ten days later, the film's movie page has been opened approximately 37,000 times. 20,000 times in ten days? Riddikulus!
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was the reigning king back before its theatrical release -- Superman Returns didn't even have half as many visits -- and we are expecting this latest installment to give the current top three some real competition; even with OotP's late start.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens to theatres on July 13th, 2007.
