The Weinstein Company and Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company, Inc, leading independents in the film and music publishing industries, have entered into a multi-year administration agreement covering all music and soundtracks from films released by The Weinstein Company. Under the terms of the agreement, Cherry Lane will represent and exploit all Weinstein Company owned music and soundtracks while securing performance rights fees from various music publishers worldwide. The announcement was made today by Rachel Levy, Vice President of Motion Picture Music for The Weinstein Company and Mike Connelly, EVP, Business Development for Cherry Lane.

The Weinstein Company (TWC) was created by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the brothers who founded Miramax Films Corporation in 1979. TWC is a multi-media company that officially launched on October 1, 2005. Dimension Films, the genre label that was founded in 1993 by Bob Weinstein, is also included under the TWC banner.
