Well if timing is everything in the comedic world, Andy Dick’s clock is broken. He decided to use that same racial slur that Michael Richards flew under the radar using last month.
Andy Dick Apologizes for 'N' Word
Too bad Dick was using the slur to make fun of Richards (according to www.tmz.com) because it sure didn’t come off that way. Dick was leaving the stage and shouted to the crowd, “You’re all a bunch of n******”. Oh and lest me not forget that Dick wasn’t leaving the stage after his act, he was leaving the stage after he jumped on to it interrupting Ian Bagg’s performance at the Improv on Saturday night.
Through his publicist, and according to the L.A. Times, Dick said, "I chose to make a joke about a subject that is not funny. In an attempt to make light of a serious subject, I have offended a lot of people, and I am sorry for my insensitivity. I wish to apologize to Ian, to the club and its patrons and to anyone who was hurt or offended by my remark."
The Improv owner was unable to be reached for comment as he is probably getting into the used car business as we speak.
