The Green Mile
Well, Warner Brothers has done it again. They gave a totally clear transfer to this 10 year old movie. The Green Mile looks better than it ever could have in theaters.
The Green Mile on Blu-Ray
You see all the prison grit. That’s rusty metal bars and chipped brick. You see all the frays of Coffey’s overalls. You see all the texture of the old wooden electric chair, and beads of sweat in the southern heat.
There’s no grain unless the scene really pushes the picture and even then it’s slight. Golden light highlights the subjects all around. The rare CGI shot of Coffey’s flies looks real within the setting.
The Green Mile is now available on Blu Ray from Warner Home Video.
