Carriers
Carriers explores a fascinating twist on the apocalyptic survival genre. What would happen if the only survivors were D-bag kids, not awesome survivalists like Will Smith?
Carriers on DVD
There are plenty of supplies to be found along the road in Carriers. Even when they don’t find anything, the looking is exciting. Not only do they need gas and food, etc., but they have a little fun in abandoned spots.
Since it’s a pandemic situation, there are great situations of near contamination, and all the paranoia that comes with it. The procedures everyone comes up with are cool. Everyone copes and has to make tough calls. It gets hard core.
I really can’t believe they didn’t release Carriers theatrically. After Star Trek, even a nominal release of a new Chris Pine movie would have broken the top five and earned a better position on DVD. Maybe I’m biased because I’m fascinated by apocalyptic survival.
