Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Talk about a kick to the nuts (and my Gordon Gekko investment portfolio). After getting us all hyped up about Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps with the last trailer, something that made the film look done, Fox has announced that they are pushing the film back about five months.
Release Push: Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps coming to theaters on April 23rd? I don't think so. Instead, we can expect the film in theaters on September 24th. Eesh!
What's the reasoning? Well, we know Fox isn't pulling a Warner Bros. and converting the film to 3D. Instead, it looks like the studio is trying to hold out for an invite from Cannes Film Festival. And, if they do get invited, there won't be any weekends available (after the festival) until September. But that doesn't mean the weekend is exactly "available" by any means. The sequel will now be put up against Legend of the Guardians, You Again, and The Eagle of the Ninth. So does Gekko remain the best investment? Hard to say, though the fund isn't looking as safe as it once did.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps opens to theaters on September 24th.
