American Gladiators: Titan
The American Gladiators play against the contestants. The contestants play against each other. The gladiators are a united front, at least for now. Titan suspects that the locker room will get competitive going into a second season.
Lead by a Titan
"I don't think we did it so much this time but I think the second season, there will definitely be that," said Titan. "Realistically, you're only going to stay on the show if you win and really perform. In the past, when I was on the show, they'd get rid of guys that just kept losing, gladiators who would lose or get injured. That's another thing, if you get injured on here you're done. This is a real show, it's a real competition. Unfortunately, it's pretty violent. I've already broken some bones on some guys, the contestants. It's no joke."
Right now it's all about intimidating the contestants. "I'll tell you, I change their eyes. They come out all ready to go, fired up and by the end they just look defeated. There's nothing better than that."
That’s for their first appearance. Imagine after they get famous. "Now remember, nobody's seen us before this show, so when they unveiled us and I started running down the gauntlet at this guy and he sees me for the first time, and he's all smiles. I get down to the end and I'm just like, 'Wipe that smile off your face. This is real.' We're not joking. They're coming in to take our checks. Can't let that happen. Gotta feed my family."
The studio audience has already given the gladiators a taste of their impending fame. "It really takes it to the next level, when you come out and the crowd's just yelling your name and chanting for you. Can't disappoint them. Gotta show 'em what you've got because if you lose, they'll hit you hard too."
