American Gladiators: Mayhem American Gladiators: Wolf
American Gladiators contestants better watch out for Wolf. He's taking his job very seriously. Any player signs a waiver of liability, so Wolf takes that as a license to unleash full force.

Gladiators Wolf Pack

"We never back down," said Wolf. "We never back it down. This is competition. This isn't ballet. This is a very physical sport so I'm going at everybody hard. I'm not going to make it easy on them. They're going for a lot of money. I'm not going to make it easy on them to get it. But if a contestant comes at me that cocky, which happened here, that gives me just a little bit extra fire to come at them even more so and hurt them."

Some contestants may luck out and get Titan or Justice. "Some of the others might not be as mean as me or as vicious as me, but I fought bulls for 23 years. I've been fighting 2000 pound animals and I look at it this way. I'm still alive after 23 years of a lot of abuse and injury, so I'm going to come at them like that. If they don't live through it, it's not my problem. You signed your life away when you got on the show. So don't come at me cocky because I'm going to hurt you."

Wolf lives up to his persona, and in fact came to the show with the nickname. His wife dubbed him wolf because of his long, scraggly hair, matching their Huskie/Malamute pet. "I've always, when I win or something, I've always kind of howled. So through training, when I would get somebody down or do something, I would just kind of Aooww, yeah, baby! So all of a sudden, 'I think you just should be a wolf. You're the wolf.' I'm like okay, I am. Then also if there's pretty ladies around, the wolf's going to be over there trying to get his."

Wolf was actually recruited for the show at a fitness event. "A lot of people heard about the casting calls and everything. I was just walking through a Fit expo and as I was walking to the Olympia Fit Expo, a guy grabs me and was like, 'Hey, have you ever heard of American Gladiators?' I'm like, 'Uh, I'm on earth. Everybody's heard of the American Gladiators. Come on, brother.' He's like, 'Well, you've got a great look. You look like you're a great athlete. I'd really like you to try out. I think you'd be great for the show.' Here I am. I'm just ecstatic to be a part of such a great thing that was in the past that I grew up on, and now I get to be a part of it and not only be a part of it, but hopefully take this to even a bigger, larger level."

American Gladiators airs Mondays.
