Ryan Gosling has signed on to star in the period love story slash murder mystery All Good Things. Not that there's any hurry, but Kirsten Dunst might be a step behind Gosling, as she is currently in negotiations to co-star.
Kirsten Dunst, Ryan Gosling for All Good Things
All Good Things will be the feature directing debut of Andrew Jarecki, who will direct off a script written by himself, Marcus Hinchey and Marc Smerling.
Set in the 1980s, All Good Things centers on the scion of a New York real estate dynasty (Gosling) who falls for a beautiful girl from the wrong side of the tracks (Dunst). But the fairy tale ends when the girl disappears. As a down-and-out detective stumbles on info that may lead to the truth, the political stakes get higher and people close to the case end up dead.
Dunst has been hanging around Sundance promoting her directorial debut, a short titled Welcome, which is playing in Sundance's Shorts Program III.
We last saw Gosling in Lars and the Real Girl. Though he was supposed to star in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones, he dropped out before production had begun.
All Good Things is set to enter production this April.
