The romantic comedy Over Her Dead Body may show Desperate Housewives fans a familiar Eva Longoria Parker. She plays a high powered bridezilla who demands things her way even in the afterlife. After she dies, she haunts her fiance's new love to stop him from moving on from her.

"That was probably my biggest challenge, differentiating Gabrielle from Kate," said Parker. "I thought that people might think they are similar in their bitchiness, but I thought that Kate was way more justified because she dies on her wedding day. She lost the man that she loved and she just wasn't ready to give it up."
The actress admits she would be the same way if the afterlife exists. "I told Tony, 'I would totally haunt you, and not move on.' I would totally NOT let him move on. I would just stick around and be like, 'You're not moving on until I move on. We're in this together, this life, the afterlife, and the next, next life.'"
Parker was not quite as protective of his spouse. During his wife's initial romantic scenes with costar Paul Rudd, Mr. Parker played it cool. "Tony was on set the whole time with this movie, which is really rare, but he loves Paul Rudd. He's a big Paul Rudd fan. Tony's a big movie buff, he watches everything."

Over Her Dead Body
Over Her Dead Body is Longoria Parker's first starring vehicle, after a few film supporting roles. "I forgot that, because I did The Sentinel and I did Harsh Times but I haven't really carried a movie, I guess. Someone asked me yesterday, 'How does it feel to carry a movie?,' and I'm like, 'Oh God, now you just scared me!' It's fun. I think it's a light, and fun movie, and I think that it's a nice change in the box office right now, from all the from all the heavy Oscar stuff, all the heavy dramas, and all the blood and gore over Christmas."
Over Her Dead Body opens to theaters February 1st.
