Good lord! Rumors about Ledger's sudden death have been arriving like crazy; I had no idea CanMag had so many gossip queens. Since the cause of death is likely sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication, some have even come to blame The Dark Knight as the cause of Ledger's departure.
Check this out: Playing the Joker in TDK caused Ledger some psychological trauma -- the character was too sinister -- resulting in his inability to catch some Zzzzs. His solution? Prescription drugs.
Well, that's at least one rumor.
No Conclusion on Heath Ledger
It looks like the rumors will continue for another ten days, as that's how long it will take to get a conclusive autopsy report. The medical examiner's office announced that preliminary results are 'inconclusive,' even with the strong evidence suggesting overdose on prescription sleeping pills.
News of his death stunned fans and co-workers alike:
"Working with Heath was one of the purest joys of my life," said Ang Lee, who directed Ledger in Brokeback Mountain.
"He brought to the role of Ennis more than any of us could have imagined a thirst for life, for love and for truth, and a vulnerability that made everyone who knew him love him. His death is heartbreaking."
Update: Some new information has begun circulating the net reporting that a rolled up dollar bill was found next to Ledger; suggesting that he could have been snorting cocaine. There wasn't a single trace of the white stuff to be found, however, in his room or close to his body.
