Channing Tatum giving his best monkey impression
First mentioned by LatinoReview, the good people at AICN have confirmed that Channing Tatum has been picked up to play Duke in G.I. Joe.
Tatum is Duke
DUKE will be played by Channing Tatum, a 27 year old actor from Alabama. He was an uncredited "Boy in church scene" in Spielberg's WAR OF THE WORLDS - you might remember him from SHE'S THE MAN or STEP UP. His best work to date was in A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS.
Though I was rooting for Chris Evans -- I don't exactly know why -- Tatum definitely has more of a military look. He will also be entering the production with some military experience behind him thanks to a part in the upcoming film Stop-Loss.
While there has yet to be a confirmation from the studio, AICN seems pretty confident.
