Gerard Butler
Butler must not have liked the fact that his character died at the opening of P.S. I'm a Chick Flick, as he has returned to the romantic-comedy genre to take on Katherine Heigl.
Gerard Butler, Katherine Heigl for The Ugly Truth
Butler and Heigl will team up for the battle of the sexes comedy The Ugly Truth for Lakeshore Entertainment. Sony Pictures is onboard to distribute.
The Ugly Truth centers on a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) in a series of outrageous tests to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.
Butler has remained close to Lakeshore ever since his involvement in the action thriller Game.
We last saw Katherine Heigl falling for James Marsden in 27 Dresses while Butler has got Nim's Island coming our way this year.
The Ugly Truth is scheduled to begin shooting April.
