Rush Hour 3
You know a movie like Rush Hour 3 will do fine on Blu Ray. It's a modern film with sharp details and a Paris travelogue to boot. Indeed, city streets show all the grit of the pavement, or Paris's brick patterns.
On Blu-Ray: Rush Hour 3
Like many dramas, it's one of those films where the actors' faces show off nuanced HD detail. The intensity of Jackie Chan and the villain or the frantic sweat of Chris Tucker are on display. Yes, it's the intensity of acting in Rush Hour 3.
All of the graceful Jackie Chan moves can be studied in detail with HD, especially when he weaves through the solid bars of the Eiffel Tower. I can't wait for the Drunken Master Blu Ray remaster.
One of the cute Blu Ray exclusive extras is a picture in picture video commentary by director Brett Ratner and screenwriter Jeff Nathanson. There's not much to be added by seeing their faces in the corner. They're kind of serious in that they take the movie seriously, but still have fun within their straightforward commentary. Occasionally, storyboards replace their mugs but drawings are no comparison to the real Jackie Chan in action.
