It looks like Flight of the Conchords is branching out. Well, at least one of them is. After having a title role in Eagle vs. Shark, Jemaine Clement is upgrading his filmography to Gentlemen Broncos, a film that will also star Michael Angarano and Sam Rockwell.
Michael Angarano, Sam Rockwell and Jemaine Clement for Gentlemen Broncos
Gentlemen Broncos follows a high school outcast who attends a camp for writers where his story gets ripped off by a legendary fantasy novelist.
Angarano plays the teen, while Clement is the author named Ronald Chevalier. Rockwell will play the fictional story's title character who appears in book-come-to-life sequences under two guises: one in the teen's story and one in the author's story.
Jared Hess will direct off a script both he and his wife, Jerusha, wrote.
Production on Gentlemen Broncos is expected to begin this March.
You can see Jemaine in Flight of the Conchords reruns on HBO. Angarano can next be seen in The Forbidden Kingdom.
