After surprising the box office twice with both Rocky and Rambo, Sylvester Stallone has decided that his comeback to action isn't quite over.
Just when I thought he'd retire to comedy.
Sylvester Stallone Signs Up for More Action with Nu Image
Proving his weight in gold, Stallone has signed a new deal to direct and star in two action films with his Rambo producers Danny Dimbort, Avi Lerner and Trevor Short of Nu Image/Millennium Films.
While the idea of more action sequels for Stallone seems more humorous than thrilling, there are already several scripts being considered. The first script is expected to be greenlit by fall, with production ready to begin soon after.
"The past year and a half of working with Avi, his partners Danny and Trevor and his film family has been nothing but a high point for me and my career and an extremely rewarding experience," Stallone said. "Avi is a real gentleman and a man of his word."
Creating films about overcoming the odds, the recent box office numbers indicate that Stallone has become a real-life example of the characters he plays. That is, if you leave out the boxing gloves and the weaponry.
