Kate Hudson
Since it's looking like her fabulous tan won't work out in Fool's Gold, Kate Hudson is trying a different venue with Big Eyes, an independently financed film that will take a look at Margaret Keane.
Kate Hudson for Big Eyes
To be directed by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski off a script the two of them wrote, Big Eyes will have Hudson playing Keane, the painter whose distinctive creations featuring big-eyed children became one of art's first mass-market success stories in the 1950s. The drama covers Keane's personal awakening at the onset of the feminist movement, leading to a lawsuit she filed against her husband, Walter, who claimed credit for her works.
If all goes well with the new SAG contract, Big Eyes could enter production as early as June.
Besides Fool's Gold this Friday, Hudson will also be arriving to theaters later this year in Bride Wars.
