Talk about a last minute addition er, I mean replacement for G.I. Joe. Though Irish-born actor David Murray had clenched the role of Destro for the adaptation of the popular cartoon and toy line, some visa complications forced the actor to withdraw from the production.
Who to replace?
Chris Eccleston for G.I. Joe
Eccleston's villainous character in The Dark is Rising didn't get much love at the box office, so he's hoping find some better luck with G.I. Joe.
Eccleston will step in for David Murray, taking over the role Destro.
Eccleston's credits include 28 Days Later and a role in the hit NBC series Heroes. He's the dude that can go invisible.
