Ellen Page
Ellen Page is on fire right now. It feels like every week (since the release of Juno) we have received a new casting update for the young actress. Her latest project is with another upandcomer -- though he has been in a bit of a stall pattern of recent -- Cillian Murphy.
Ellen Page, Cillian Muphy for Peacock
Mandate Pictures has picked up Ellen Page and Cillian Murphy to co-star in their upcoming psychological thriller, Peacock.
While the film sounds like an NBC special, the film's title is actually derived from Peacock, Nebraska.
Murphy's character, a split personality, fools the town into believing his two alter egos are man and wife. Page plays a struggling young mother who holds the key to his past and sparks a battle between the personalities.
Michael Lander will direct off a script he co-wrote with Ryan Roy.
"Peacock stunned me as a script from start to finish," Murphy said. "It offers an incredible challenge to an actor -- one I couldn't turn down."
Murphy can next be seen in The Edge of Love.
Page, making Peacock the third project she's bagged this month, can be seen in theaters with Juno.
