Semi-Pro
I love Will Ferrell films. Well, to be honest, some of his last few didn't exactly have me rolling in the aisles. The nice thing about Ferrell, however, is that he can always bounce back and give us something up to the caliber of Anchorman.
Yes - Anchorman is awesome.
Will Ferrell is now back as Jackie Moon in Semi-Pro and I can only wonder one thing: How does the sports comedy rate with other Ferrell movies? To me, that's all that matters.
Early Review Arrives for Semi-Pro
Harry over at AICN has posted an early review for Semi-Pro and, though I had a difficult time figuring out which way the report was going, it concludes that Semi-Pro is a top-notch Ferrell movie.
I’ve seen SEMI-PRO twice now – once at a press screening – and again at the special AICN screening we did. And I enjoyed it at both – quite a bit. The main thing that kicks ass about it is the supporting cast. Andy Richter doesn’t do much… but damn he’s good at not doing much.
This is one of the best Will Ferrell feature comedies… closer to ANCHORMAN and TALLADEGA NIGHTS than BLADES OF GLORY. If you love Will’s work, this movie is Prime Rib. However… if, for some reason – you’re not fond of Will… you’d be a vegetarian trying to eat Prime Rib.

Semi-Pro opens to theaters on February 29th.
