With Star Trek now arriving in 2009, JJ Abrams must be releaved to have a little more time on his hands. The director recently surfaced at the US-Ireland Alliance party and was more than happy to discuss the eleventh Star Trek installment, the second Cloverfield installment and The Dark Tower.

He goes on to defend Paramount's decision to push the film's release back, as it will allow for a bigger audience. Understandable, I guess; but nobody likes waiting.
