Terminator
Warner Bros. has announced when we can expect the next Terminator installment, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, and it will be arriving to theaters in the er, future.
Ironic, right?
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins Memorial Day, 2009
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins will annihilate theaters on May 22, 2009; just two Memorial Days out.
It's an aggressive move by Warner Bros, considering that one of the only release dates already taken during the 2009 summer is May 22nd. 20th Century Fox already planted their flag on the date with Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian. The bout should be pretty competitive, considering that the first Museum earned a whopping $250.9 million domestically to Terminator 3's $150.4 million (2003).
Are the numbers any indication of what we can expect on May 22nd, 2009? Doubtful, considering that Warner Bros. has brought McG and Christian Bale into play for T4.
Terminator Salvation is expected to begin filming in New Mexico on May 5th. The installment will kick off a new trilogy that begins right after Skynet's annihilation of the human race.
