Justice League
With the WGA strike now over, Justice League is beginning to find some of its old momentum. The good people at AICN are kicking things off with not one but two updates from the film's once-on-hold production.
Justice League Back Up and Running
Two big updates rolling in for Justice League. First, it looks like the film has a new, longer title. It is the in-thing nowadays.
Second, inside reports claim that George Miller has already found who he wants to play The Martian Manhunter.
A small story ran in the Sydney Morning Herald yesterday that didn't seem to get much notice, but had some interesting information. The biggest news being that the name of the movie is now JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL... I'm thinking there might be a colon missing. JUSTICE LEAGUE: MORTAL maybe?
My source says that MORTAL is indeed tied to the film, appearing on official documents (sometimes representing the whole title... so it could also be a Blue Harvest situation).
The site has also received a scoop claiming that Hugh Keays-Byrne has been picked up to play The Martian Manhunter. Never heard of the character? Here's a brief description
according to Wiki:
J'onzz [The Martian Manhunter] is a native of the planet Mars, also known as Ma'aleca'andra in his native tongue. (This is a nod to "Malacandra," the name used by the inhabitants of Mars in C. S. Lewis's novel Out of the Silent Planet. This is a much later addition and not part of the original version of the character.) His usual public appearance is as a tall, hairless, green-skinned humanoid with a pronounced brow. He is highly sensitive to fire, which weakens him and prevents him from being able to use his powers at all.
