Though action seemed like a surefire genre for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, one can't help acknowledge how well he has done with comedy. What can I say - the big guy is funny!
Sticking to the rule "if it ain't broke don't fix it," Mr. Rock will join up with 20th Century Fox to play the title character in The Tooth Fairy.
The Rock for The Tooth Fairy
To be directed by Michael Lembeck, The Tooth Fairy tells the story of an ordinary man who's brought in to try to save the tooth fairy kingdom. Michael Lembeck should make a good fit, considering that he directed the final two Santa Clause installments.
Though the film doesn't sound Oscar worthy, it took four scribes to write it. The Tooth Fairy was scripted by Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel and Joshua Sternin & Jeffrey Ventimilia.
Johnson can next be seen beside Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway in Get Smart.
He is currently wrapping Witch Mountain for Disney.
