Step Up 2 The Streets
Though I figured a second Step Up would be where it ended, the success of Step Up 2 The Streets has spurred Disney onto another installment. But this time they are going big.
Three dimensions big.
Step Up 3-D
Step Up 2 choreographed itself a whopping $28.7 million during its opening bow, which took advantage of the five-day Presidents Day weekend. Disney couldn't deny the strength in the franchise, and has decided to slut it out for at least one more installment.
While I can only wonder how many of these we can take -- Okay, I admit it, the dancing was super-cool -- Disney is upping the ante with Step Up 3-D, a 3-D live-action project that Step Up 2 director Jon Chu is looking to reprise.
Though Disney doesn't want to admit it, nothing sounds cooler than cotton-bound breasts bouncing in 3-D. Brilliant!
