Justice League
Only yesterday I mentioned that, with the end of the WGA strike, Justice League was bound to find the momentum it once had. I'm not saying the momentum was all good before, but at least it was there.
Things began to look grim for the production when Warner Bros. announced they put it on hold until they could polish up the script. With scribes now back with pens in their hands, here comes that same steam once more. Yesterday we learned of some new casting and a possible er, title adjustment, and now Warner Bros. is confident enough to give the adaptation a window of release.
Justice League Coming in 2009
Warner Bros. has announced that they are again pushing ahead with Justice League in order to make a 2009 debut. The studio already has scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney polishing up the script, and there are still some strong remaining cast.
Adam Brody, cast as the Flash, is the biggest star in the superhero lineup. Rapper Common nabbed the Green Lantern role; other roles went to lesser-known thesps such as Armie Hammer Jr. (Batman) and Megan Gale (Wonder Woman).
Based on the DC Comic, Justice League has been a huge priority for Warner Bros., especially considering that, like most other studios, WB doesn't have much of a line-up for the 2009 tentpole season. This can all change, however, if other studios' tentpoles pick up the momentum as quick as Justice League did.
