While the title of this article would sound like something that happened only last weekend -- don't think I'm making accusations, however -- it turns out that Mark Wahlberg has been hoping to get back in front of the camera with Leonardo DiCaprio by his side.
The duo first starred together in The Basketball Diaries and over a decade later found box office gold with Scorsese's The Departed.
The duo will return to crime as Cocaine Cowboys.
DiCaprio for Cocaine Cowboys
According to PageSix, Mark Wahlberg, who will be playing drug kingpin Jon Roberts in the film, has talked Leonardo DiCaprio into play what sounds to be a smaller role in Cocaine Cowboys.
The untitled flick "will blow Blow out of the water," says a movie insider who added that Leo "is excited about the opportunity to play the airplane pilot who travels with Mark's character to obtain kilos of cocaine from Pablo Escobar."
While it does sound like a cool casting update, don't get too excited just yet. DiCaprio's camp has responded to the report by claiming that it is 'completely false.' If so, maybe he wants to join the cast anyway? I mean, we already said he's been talked into it.
