Since Gerard Butler is likely to have more female followers than that of God, it comes as no surprise that he'd team with his longtime manager, Alan Siegel, to create his own production banner.
Butler and Siegel are Evil Twins
Butler and Siegel not only have a new production shingle, Evil Twins, but a first project to place under it. The duo will produce the psychological thriller Law Abiding Citizen.
Butler will star as a successful assistant D.A. who finds himself at the center of a vigilante plot hatched by a traumatized victim of the legal system.
The helmer who invented Gun Kata and Equilibrium, Kurt Wimmer, wrote the screenplay.
The banner's list of projects doesn't end there, with Hanging Tale and Teacher Man also awaiting development.
"We're thrilled at the opportunity that Gerry's career has given us to make our own films," Siegel said.
Danielle Robinson has been named director of development for the banner.
Gerard Butler is known for roles such as the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera and Leonidas in Warner Bros' smash hit, 300.
