Seth Rogen
While I continue to count the days until Seth Rogen enters theaters with Pineapple Express, the actor is already out there grinding the pavement (as they say). Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have picked up Rogen to star in the upcoming comedy Observe and Report.
Seth Rogen for Observe and Report
Observe and Report centers on Ronnie Barnhardt, a deluded, self-important head of mall security who squares off in a turf war against the local cops. The comedy is being compared to that of Superbad and Knocked Up. In short - R-rated.
"It will definitely go to the edge," producer Donald De Line said. "We love (Hill's) sensibility."
The film will be directed by Jody Hill off a screenplay he wrote.
If you are a fan of red band trailers, you likely caught Hill's other project, The Foot Fist Way. Hill co-wrote, directed, produced and appeared in the R-rated comedy. After watching the film, both Rogen and Judd Apatow got to know Hill after inviting him to the set of Knocked Up. The Foot Fist Way is being distributed by Paramount Vantage and will have a limited release on June 6th.
Observe and Report is expected to enter production this April.
