After making sweet, sweet sandwiches with Vince in HBO's Entourage, Carla Gugino has increased her step in order to Race to Witch Mountain.
Carla Gugino Climbs Witch Mountain
Disney picked up Gugino to star opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in their remake of Escape to Witch Mountain, currently titled Race to Witch Mountain. Why did the mouse house change the name? Hard to say, but I'm going to assume their library shelves marked 'E' were just too full for another title.
One theory of many, I'm sure.
Gugino will play a discredited astrophysicist and UFO expert who meets up with a Las Vegas cab driver (Johnson). He asks for her extraterrestrial expertise to help a pair of psychic siblings escape the clutches of evil men and save the human race from impending doom.
Gary
Marshall has been cast to play a government and UFO conspiracy theorist/fringe scientist who helps them in their quest. Alexander Ludwig and AnnaSophia Robb play the siblings.
Andy Fickman will direct Race to Witch Mountain off a script by Mark Bomback.
Gugino can next be seen in the upcoming thriller Righteous Kill and then as Sally Jupiter in Zack Snyder's Watchmen.
