Since Gary Oldman now has nothing left to do in the Harry Potter franchise -- save a possible flashback or two -- the actor has found some free time for Rain Fall, a Japan-set thriller in which he is in negotiations to star.
Gary Oldman for Rain Fall
Hitman stories have become all the rage these days. Brosnan played a great Matador, Olyphant shaved his dome for Hitman, while Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleesan traveled to Bruges.
Adapted from a novel by best- selling American author Barry Eisler, Rain Fall is the story of a, you guessed it, hitman who is forced to protect the daughter of one of his victims against assassination by the CIA. Shiina Kippei ("Shinobi") and Akiho Hasegawa star.
The film will be the second feature outing for helmer Max Mannix, who tested his skills with Dance of the Dragon.
I can only assume Gary Oldman has some grasp of Japanese, as 85% of the film's dialogue will be shot in Japanese; leaving only 15% for English.
