McDonough is Street Fighter's Bison
Neal McDonough
Chun-Li was the chick that could do all the cartwheels, right? I think I understand why the longer title is necessary for the adaptation -- don't want any relation to the first, Van Damme installment -- but it also must mean that the film is giving some emphasis to one of the game's popular fighters, Chun-Li.
Neal McDonough for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
According to Wikipedia, Chun-Li was an Interpol investigator who had been searching for clues to the recent death of her father. Getting into a friendly spar with an old teacher of hers and friend of her father, Gen, he gives her a lead into who may have killed her father—the mysterious crime syndicate Shadaloo. Finding its leader, M. Bison, she demands he tell her what happened to her father. To her surprise, Bison attacks and basically makes quick work of her, then flies away, laughing at her and telling her if she attacks him again he will kill her just like he did her father. With tears in her eyes, Chun-Li swore vengeance.
Neal McDonough is looking to be the blunt of Chun-Li's vengeance, as he has been cast to play Bison in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
Andrzej Bartkowiak is onboard to direct off a script by Justin Marks. The cast so far includes Moon Bloodgood, Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein and Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas.
Many should remember Neal McDonough from HBO's Band of Brothers and the very underrated Cruise-thriller, Minority Report.
