Now this is different. While we are normally told that some big graphic novel has been purchased and prepped for the bigscreen, Hugh Jackman is going all the way back to the drawing board. Literally.
Jackman and Eli Stone co-creator Marc Guggenhaim plan to team with Virgin Comics to create Nowhere Man, a comicbook series that is being created for easy bigscreen transfer.

Though the story is in some folder labeled with "Top Secret", Jackson's Seed Productions partner John Palermo let some details slip. According to him, Nowhere Man features a protagonist reminiscent of the one Will Smith played in I Am Legend. The concept is a futuristic world where mankind has traded privacy for safety.
Wait a sec - Isn't that more like Christian Bale's Equilibrium?
"This is our first comic, and we feel the concept is transferable to other arenas, perhaps first as a videogame, and then a movie," Palermo said.
Both Jackman and Guggenheim have previous experience with comicbooks and their movies. Guggenheim has written installments of "Amazing Spider-man" and "Wolverine" for Marvel Comics. Jackman continues to play Wolverine in the X-Men films (and their spin-offs).
Said Jackman: "I've had so much fun in the graphic novel world with the 'X-Men' franchise that I wanted to get even more involved. I'm excited to work with Virgin and Marc and create a compelling character and story that hopefully will also make it to the bigscreen."
