Maria Bello
Maria Bello has become quite the hot replacement. Filling in for Rachel Weisz after she stepped away from the third Mummy installment, Bello is now in negotiations to take Maggie Gyllenhaal's place in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.

The production had hoped that Gyllenhaal would be able to complete her portion of filming within two weeks so she can make it over to the UK to stay with her husband, Peter Sarsgaard, and newborn as Sarsgaard films An Education. When the production schedule began to stretch past five weeks, Maggie, who was playing star Robin Wright Penn's mother in several flashback sequences, decided to stick with her original plan and join her family.
While the production is sorry to see Maggie go, they can't deny that Mario Bello is a better fit. Playing Robin Wright Penn's mother, she definitely looks more the part.
The Private Lives of Pippa Lee centers on the title character (Wright Penn), whose life begins to unravel after her husband leaves her.
