Warner Independent has found their other lead to star opposite Matt Damon in Steven Soderbergh's The Informant. Being called an espionage thriller, the film is based on the book by Kurt Eichenwald.
Scott Bakula for The Informant
Bakula will play Brian Shepherd, an FBI agent who exposes an international price-fixing scheme with the help of biochemist Mark Whitacre (Damon). The films is based on a true story.
Looking as if he could be Michael Bay's brother, Bakula has been taking care of smaller projects including a recent appearance on Boston Legal and a starring role in Dancing in the Dark at San Diego's Old Globe Theater.
Soderbergh will direct The Informant off a script by Scott Burns.
